Creative Design Head/ Sr Interaction Designer

Elan Technologies is looking for a Creative Design Head/ Sr Interaction Desginer to be part of its leadership team.

You will provide user experience leadership on mobile, web and other interactive projects. The primary focus of this role is defining interactivity. Working collaboratively with stakeholders you will propose solutions that balance user need with business goals and technological capabilities. You will also seek to exploit the opportunities for interaction offered by new and emerging technology platforms.

Day-to-day:

• Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, prototypes, and design specifications
• Understand when to apply a variety of interaction design techniques appropriately to solve specific design problems
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
• Manage the interaction design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating resource needs and schedules
• Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes visual designers, project managers, product strategists, and developers
• Contribute to the definition scope and phasing of project timelines

Skills:

• At least 5+ years of user interface design experience
• Bachelors/Masters degree, or equivalent, in: product design, psychology, industrial design or an interaction design related subject
• Ability to understand customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into actionable deliverables
• Detail-oriented and highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Must be a self-starter who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on
• Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to Web-based applications
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions – must have an intermediate understanding of major web analytics packages and SEO strategies
• Be proficient in crafting interaction design documentation: Persona, scenarios, wireframes, competitive analyses, flows, and conceptual maps
• Strong self-management skills as well as ability to work as a contributing member of a multi-discipline team
• Ability to collaborate with other designers and developers to envision and iterate concepts
• Ability to think out of the box and with minimal structure
• Ability to work collaboratively with local and remote colleagues
• Must be detail oriented
• Team player with professional work ethic and positive attitude

Sr Mobile Developer

Minimum 2 years of iPhone / Android Development experience

• Extensive experience with iPhone platform (experience on Mac is helpful)
• Must be proficient in iPhone programming and analytical skills
• Outstanding Objective – C coding skills and Mac Cocoa architecture experience
• Hands on experience using the iPhone SDK2.1 or above
• Good optimization and debugging skills
• Able to work alone or in a team environment
• Experience with PHP and ActionScript a plus
• Be able to work during US timings
